1A: Emotional Consequences of Technology
Presenter: Jon Mattleman
Location: Auditorium

Location: Library (Main)
Come learn about local resources for mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, and substance use disorder. Meet a local clinician, Michelle Howden, who can share about challenges in our community and ask questions to learn more. Local nonprofit Link House, Inc. will present, “Wellness Delivered” a grant-funded program from Anna Jaques Hospital Beth Israel Lahey Health.
Session II: 11:00 - 12:00 Select One
2A: The "A" Word (Anxiety)
Presenter: Jon Mattleman
Location: Auditorium
When anxiety spirals out of control, it dominates virtually everything - academics, social life, and athletic endeavors, and more. To combat this, educators and parents can play a leading role by helping youth identify their anxiety, and guiding youth to the skills they need to take control.
2B: Youth Sports: What is the Endgame?
Presenter: Matthew Jackling
Location: Library (Main)
Participation in youth sports can be one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences for young people, but what are realistic expectations for our children? This discussion will cover a wide variety of topics including goal setting and expectations, setting boundaries for parents and athletes, and utilizing positive mental health support practices that can promote overall wellness throughout your child’s journey in athletics.
2C: QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer:
3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide
Presenter: Emmalie Langan / Samaritans of Merrimack Valley
Location: Library (Classroom)
Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying "Yes" to saving the life of a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor.
