The Salisbury Police Department has partnered with The Pettengill House to provide services to those struggling with addiction or looking for recovery assistance. The Pettengill House is a local non-profit family and children social service agency that provides addiction services to both victims and families touched by drug and alcohol addiction. They have implemented the Salisbury Treatment Outreach Prevention Program (STOPP) in conjunction with The Pettengill House that conducts follow-up visits with victims of overdoses and their families. Naloxone distribution programs in Massachusetts (MA) include Overdose Education and Naloxone Distribution (OEND) programs and Community Naloxone Program (CNP) affiliate programs. These programs provide naloxone at no cost to community members.
OEND Programs provide overdose training and naloxone to people who are at risk of experiencing or witnessing an overdose. OEND Programs focus on working with people who use drugs and are typically embedded in Syringe Service Programs (SSPs). Learn more about SSPs and where to find them here.
